(ACAP)
Fox Entertainment
Group has sponsored the business competition segment of ACAP, a
weeklong residential program for 35 high school students of
color. FOX Broadcasting Company arranged a meeting with its CFO
to discuss opportunities in accounting and finance, provided a
tour of its lot, provided content for a case study, and
participated in the judging of the case
presentation.
Perhaps more than
most, CalCPA member Ida Yarbrough, a Los Angeles-based CPA, has been
part of the student outreach solution for years--decades,
really.

to a 1997 AICPA survey of 6,000 American CPA firms. That means only

company takes skill, strategy and cunning. Fifty Los Angeles area
high school students will test their mettle later this month as they
attempt to "take over" Precision Dynamics Corp. as part of Cal State
